Port Arthur News: Waterway project clears Senate, heads to president
A waterway improvement bill has jumped its second hurdle and is now on its way to the president’s desk. “With the Senate passing WRRDA by an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote of 91-7, we are one step closer to the Sabine Neches Channel improvement project being authorized. This project will promote competitiveness, prosperity and economic growth locally and nationally. I hope that the President will see the great potential of WRRDA and swiftly sign it into law,” U.S. Rep. Randy Weber, R-Friendswood, said.
