Committees and Caucuses

Congressman Weber is a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where he serves on the Energy, Environment, and Oversight & Investigation Subcommittees. The Energy and Commerce Committee is the oldest standing legislative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives and is vested with the broadest jurisdiction of any congressional authorizing committee. The committee has responsibility for matters including telecommunications, consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health and research, environmental quality, energy policy, and interstate and foreign commerce, among others.

Congressman Weber is also a member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, where he serves as the Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee. The Science, Space, and Technology Committee has jurisdiction over NASA, the National Science Foundation, the National Weather Service, energy research and development programs at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency, and all environmental standards and research programs.
