Congressman Randy Weber Issues a Statement on Capitol Hill Shooting
Washington, DC,
October 3, 2013
“When I first heard that there was a shooting on Capitol Hill, I was at a Republican Study Committee with colleagues talking about the temporary government shutdown and an Obamacare Replacement bill. We were all informed immediately of the shooting by Capitol Police and told to shelter in place. My first thoughts were with my staff, to make sure they were all okay. I was happy to find out that they were all accounted for. Then I called my wife Brenda and my kids to let them know I was okay. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone and I hope that the injured officer will make a speedy recovery.” ### |
