Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) along with fellow Texas House Republicans wrote a letter urging Members of the Senate to vote for the Continuing Resolution passed by the House. Congressman Weber made the following statement:

“Over the past two weeks, my Capitol and District offices were flooded with communication from concerned citizens across the country, insisting that we permanently defund the President’s government takeover of healthcare. Since the day I was sworn into office, one of my top priorities has been to defund Obamacare. If fully implemented, it would dramatically increase taxes and put hard-working Americans out of work.

The Texas Republican Delegation is urging those in the Senate to do the right thing, and stop this law. I stand arm-and-arm with the Texas delegation and my other colleagues in the House and Senate in our effort to defund this unworkable mandate on the American people. Enough is enough. Let’s dismantle ObamaCare once and for all.”
