Weber to Obama: Nominate Someone Who will Enforce Our Laws
Washington, DC,
July 12, 2013
Today, Secretary Napolitano tendered her resignation to accept a position with the University of California system as their next President. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) challenged President Obama to take advantage of this opportunity to get his White House back in order: “The President has lost the faith of the people due to his lack of respect for our Constitution and his lack of interest to find answers on debilitating scandals, such as, Benghazi, the IRS targeting, the DOJ wire-tappings, and the NSA leak. Now that we have the top position in one of our most critical department vacant, I believe the President is at a very telling crossroads. The President can nominate another person from his ‘go-along-to-get-along gang’ or he can find someone who will do their job by faithfully enforcing the laws of the land; starting with securing our borders, earning back the trust of the American people, as well as, effectively working with Congress to keep the United States strong and safe.” ### |
