The Pain-Capable Child Protection Act came to the House floor for a vote today. The measure passed by a vote of 228 to 196. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood), a co-sponsor of this legislation, made the following statement:

“Life is a gift from GOD. We all started as that gift. At 20 weeks, a baby feels pain the same way you or I would. I voted for the Pain-Capable Child Protection Act because it protects innocent life. As a Congressman, I feel obligated to stand up for these babies and be their voice. I will fight to protect life and put an end toward violence against the unborn.”
