Washington,
May 14, 2019
Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 299, the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act. Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:
“Today, we took a stand for our brave veterans by voting to ensure our Blue Waters Navy Veterans receive the same care offered to land-based veterans also suffering from exposure to Agent Orange and other herbicides. Blue Water Veterans sacrificed greatly and served honorably. They are equally deserving of access to this health care and treatment. “I am proud to cosponsor this important piece of legislation, pleased to see it pass the House, and hopeful it will pass through the Senate and onto the President’s desk. Our veterans deserve the very best.” ### |
