Weber Statement on Release of Mueller Report
Washington,
April 18, 2019
Washington, D.C. – Upon Attorney General William Barr’s release of a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s “Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election,” Congressman Randy Weber (R - Friendswood) released the following statement:
“Whether it’s four pages or more than 400 pages, the conclusion is still the same: There was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election. The Department of Justice has gone to extraordinary lengths to both conduct this report and share the most information possible. My colleagues and I voted for the release of the report, and I appreciate its release to the American people. Additionally, I am grateful for Attorney General Barr’s cooperation with Congress, desire to be transparent, and efforts to make the report public. With the conclusion of the Mueller Report - two years in the making, confirming the President’s innocence - it’s time we move forward, get back to work, and use our time and resources wisely.” ### |
