Weber Applauds Energy Executive Orders

Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, President Donald Trump signed two executive orders at the International Union of Operating Engineers International Training Center in Crosby, Texas. Both executive orders will facilitate the construction of essential energy infrastructure. After the announcement, Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:

“Today is a great day for the Gulf Coast! For far too long, our energy industry has been stifled by burdensome regulations. Outdated, misguided regulations are holding back development. We need a clear and defined process with a specific timetable for permit review. These executive orders address problems with our pipeline and cross-border energy infrastructure permitting process. Additionally, they will reduce the uncertainty and waiting games currently bogging down the system and holding back investments. In streamlining the permitting process, we are lowering energy bills and freeing our fellow Americans from reliance on foreign energy. With President Trump, we will achieve energy dominance.”
