Washington,
December 1, 2018
Washington, D.C. – On Friday, November 30, 2018, George H. W. Bush passed away at age 94. He served our nation through a distinguished career – notably serving in the military, as CIA Director, as Vice President to Ronald Reagan, and as the 41st President of the United States of America. Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:
“George H. W. Bush was one of our great statesmen. His conviction and principle were evident in all that he did. His love for his nation was bested only by his love for his family. “Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Bush 41 joined the Navy and became one of the youngest pilots. He went on to serve in the House of Representatives, Ambassador to the UN, Envoy to China, Director of the CIA, Vice President to Ronald Reagan, and finally as our 41st President. In each of these roles, he acted with prudence and sound judgement. “For decades, he served our nation honorably and with distinction. The Bush family, friends, and former staffers are in Brenda Gail’s prayers and mine. God bless the Bush family during this difficult time.” ### |
