Washington, D.C. – On Saturday, October 27, 2018, the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA was attacked during a morning service. The shooter took the lives of 11 innocent people. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) released the following statement:
“These acts of violence are devastating and bring the world to a halt. Violence and anti-Semitism have no place in our society. Attacking people in their place of worship is cowardly. We must call this horrific action what it is: A hate crime. Unspeakable violence is never to be tolerated. We will not let this stand. “Brenda Gail and I mourn the loss of innocent lives and pray for all those affected by the horrific shooting that took place this morning at the Tree of Life Synagogue. My thanks to our brave first responders for their heroic action.” ### |
