Weber Statement on Tax Reform 2.0

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a second phase of tax reform measures. These bills, collectively referred to as “Tax Reform 2.0,” ensure reduced taxes for families and small businesses, while promoting and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit. Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:

“At the end of December, we signed the historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law. Since then, our economy is once again booming, and families and small businesses are thriving. All Americans are seeing more money in their take-home pay, and we are better off for it.

“To continue this good news, we took the necessary steps with these bills to make permanent the tax cuts for families and small businesses. We encourage the entrepreneurial spirit that carries America forward. We applaud our hard-working men and women. Families and small businesses are the backbone of our society. We want them stronger, not weaker. We want them to thrive.”
