Weber Statement on Third Round of Appropriations

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, July 19, 2018, the House passed the third set of appropriations bills: Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations and Financial Services and General Government Appropriations. Following passage of the series of bills, Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:

“We are steadily making our way through the appropriations process. Through today’s action, we continue reducing regulatory burdens that hamper economic growth and small businesses. Additionally, we invest in our critical infrastructure and in the timely cleanup of Superfund Sites – an issue close to Texans on the coast.

“Our economy is in a great place and getting better. We want to see that prosperity continue. Our small businesses are the backbone of the American Economy, and this bill encourages the growth and development of small businesses everywhere, with a certain emphasis on veterans programs and Women’s Business Centers. Americans are filled with great ideas. Our local entrepreneurs know their communities well and know what ideas and innovations can best help them and our nation prosper.”
