Washington,
July 3, 2018
Washington, D.C. – On Monday, July 2, 2018, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced his donation of 10 metal detectors to be given to Santa Fe, pending school board approval. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) released the following statement:
“I am deeply appreciative of Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s support for Santa Fe. His donation of 10 metal detectors and his encouragement of legislative action in the next session is a powerful statement: Texans will always help Texans. “In the weeks following this tragedy, the heart of Texas has been on full display. In the local community, at the state level, and up in Washington, the safety of our children in our schools is a primary concern. We will continue seeking answers, hardening our schools, and protecting our children. As time moves forward, we will support each other. Today and every day, I stand with Santa Fe.” ### |
