Washington, D.C. – April 17, 2018, Former First Lady Barbara Bush passed away. Mrs. Bush was 92. She and Former President George Herbert Walker Bush recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary. After her passing, Congressman Randy Weber (R – Friendswood) released the following statement:
“Barbara Bush was a force of nature who never failed to act with class and poise. She was strong in her convictions, and her love for her family and her country knew no bounds.
“Our nation is a better place having known her care and devotion. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy will long prevail. The Bush family, friends, and former staffers are in mine and Brenda Gail’s prayers. May God grant eternal rest unto Barbara Bush’s soul and peace to all who love her.”
