Weber Statement on Release of Memo
Washington,
February 2, 2018
Washington, D.C. – Last week, the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the FBI/DOJ memo. On February 2, 2018, after careful consideration, President Trump released the memo to the American public. Following the President’s announcement, Congressman Randy Weber (R - Friendswood) released the following statement:
“This memo raises issues of grave concern. When the government and its agencies step over the line, as the memo outlines, the people need to know. Political biases have no place in our justice system. We are a country with a government, not a government with a country. The actions of the FBI/DOJ, as described by the memo, are unacceptable." ### |
