Weber Statement on Final Passage of FY18 Budget

Washington, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives agreed to the Senate amendments to the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget. The final vote on H. Con. Res. 71 was 216 to 212. This budget reduces the size and scope of the federal government. Additionally, it does not encroach on state or local authority. After the vote, Congressman Randy Weber (R–Friendswood) released the following statement:

"This budget resolution contains many of the conservative fiscal principles I support, and within the budget is a means to tax reform. This legislative vehicle is the only practical way to achieve comprehensive, pro-growth tax reform before the end of this calendar year, and in time for taxpayers to see real savings in their take-home pay.”
