Washington D.C. - Congressman Randy Weber (R - Friendswood) released the following additional statement in response to the events which continue to unfold regarding this weekend’s violence in Charlottesville:
"I adamantly condemn the violence by the white supremacist movement, period. Full stop. The actions that unfolded over the past few days are contrary to everything for which our country stands. Violence and hate of any kind cannot be tolerated, ignored, or explained away, especially when it is against a race, religion, or profession. Our nation needs healing, and that begins with being firm in our shared belief that what happened on Saturday is unacceptable."
