“Today, the Senate presented bipartisan immigration reform. There are some positive aspects of this legislation, such as, the usage of an e-verify system and a rigorous application process. However, there are many holes in this bill that leave me concerned. For starters, an increase in unmanned vehicles and surveillance equipment aren't enough, we need more boots on the border. My second concern is that the current proposal doesn’t adequately address the enforcement of registering undocumented workers with the United States government. As we move toward a deeper discussion, I look forward to finding out these answers.” - Congressman Randy Weber (R-Alvin)
