WEBER CELEBRATES SMALL BUSINESS WEEK Freeport, TX – America’s Small Business Week is May 4-8. Last Tuesday, Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) toured two small businesses[1] in Brazoria County - Vernor Material and Equipment Co. and Freeport LNG. He made the following statement: “Small businesses are the economic backbone of this great nation, and I’m extremely proud to represent them in Congress. I’ve learned through these tours that increasing regulations from federal agencies are causing confusion and delays in critical development, preventing job creation and growth. In addition, these businesses understand that they need to provide their employees with benefits and opportunities to reduce overturn; yet Obamacare mandates are inhibiting them from providing such assistance. I made it a point to let these businesses know I have their back in Congress. We need to create a better environment for our job creators to thrive and inject much needed revenue into our economy, enabling them to have a strong competitive footing on a global level.” ### |
