Rep. Weber supports Israel Against Terrorism

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) voted in favor of the Israel Supplemental Appropriations Act to provide $14.3 billion to support Israel’s missile defense systems like the Iron Dome and additional military equipment for the Israel Defense Forces.  This legislation also replenishes U.S. weapons stocks and fully offsets the cost of this assistance. This emergency supplemental appropriations package deals strictly with providing aid to Israel and ensuring our own military readiness, and it is fully offset by reprogramming funding originally provided for the IRS.

The jihadist terror organization Hamas will stop at nothing to eradicate every single Israeli, and the United States has a duty to step in and support our greatest ally, Israel, as war rages in the Middle East,” said Rep. Weber. “I am proud to stand with Israel to ensure our ally has what it needs to defend itself, in its fight to permanently eliminate the terrorist threat. By ensuring Israel has access to the tools it needs to defend itself, we not only protect the Israeli people but also uphold the values of democracy and freedom in a troubled region.”
