Today, the United States House of Representatives voted on H.R. 3134, Defund Planned Parenthood Act. The measure passed by a vote of 241 to 187. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement:

“Over the past few months, we have seen the nightmare that is Planned Parenthood. The cutting and selling pieces of helpless babies is a barbaric practice. Since my time in the Texas State House, I have been a merciless opponent of Planned Parenthood. Taxpayer monies should never be funneled into organizations that are in the business of murdering the defenseless. We defunded them at the state level, and finally, we are making the move to defund them on the federal level.  Just because the child is not wanted does not mean that the baby does not deserve to live.”
