Weber Votes Against Iran Nuclear Deal

Today, the United States House of Representatives voted to approve the Iran Nuclear Agreement (H.R. 3461). The measure failed by a vote of 162 to 269. In voting against approving the Iran Nuclear Deal, Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement:

“A vote for the Iran nuclear deal is a vote for a nuclear bomb, an arms race in the Middle East, and the continuation of state-sponsored terrorism across the globe. There is no excuse for those who voted in support of this agreement. Dark and scary times are ahead. It’s critical that Congress work to dismantle this deal, and ensure Iran is locked in a vice of sanctions to cripple their ability to build a nuclear bomb that threatens America and Israel.”
