Rep. Weber votes to Protect Your Gas Stoves

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) voted in support of H.R. 1615, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act, and H.R. 1640, the Save Our Gas Stoves Act, to block the Biden Administration from banning or regulating the use of gas stoves in U.S. households. Rep. Weber spoke on the House floor in support of these bills, which were prompted by a January comment from Richard Trumka, Jr., a commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).  Trumka randomly proposed a ban on gas stoves, calling them a “hidden hazard” and saying, “any option is on the table.”

"The Biden Administration's assault on Americans' choice of vehicles, home heating methods, and cooking appliances in the name of climate change is astonishing," said Rep. Weber. "The American people reject the notion of unelected bureaucrats dictating the appliances we can use in the sanctity of our own homes. Today, House Republicans defended your freedoms and fought to keep big government out of your home.”
