Rep. Weber Congratulates 2022 Service Academy Appointments

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) recognized and congratulated 8 students who received and accepted military service academy appointments. The service academies—the U.S. Military Academy (West Point, New York); the U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis, Maryland); the U.S. Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs, Colorado); and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, New York)—all require a congressional nomination to be considered for appointment.  Weber previously nominated these students for appointment consideration in December.

"I congratulate the outstanding students who have been appointed to attend our service academies," said Rep. Weber. "Nominating extraordinary students from our region to attend the academies is one of the highest honors I'm afforded as a U.S. Representative. While these young leaders could pursue numerous career paths, they chose to answer the call to serve our nation with their talents and intelligence. This is indeed a true testament to their patriotism and character. Their selfless desire and willingness to answer the call to serve our country is commendable and certainly makes their families, friends, communities, and our state proud."
