Today, the United States House of Representatives voted on a ‘clean’ spending bill for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The spending bill will fund DHS through September 30. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement:

“I am extremely disappointed that the House brought this version of a Department of Homeland Security spending bill for a vote. This spending bill does not address the President’s executive amnesty. Instead, it lets the President get away with his unconstitutional executive actions. We must make him accountable to the American people.”

The measure passed the House by a vote of 257 to 167 and will now go the President’s desk to be signed.
