Weber Issues Statement on PM Netanyahu's Address to Congress
Washington, DC,
March 3, 2015
Today, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel address Congress regarding Israel’s concerns of Iran’s nuclear proliferation program. Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) made the following statement: “Today, Congress had the distinct privilege to hear directly from Prime Minister Netanyahu. As a small country encircled by politically unstable and hostile entities, it was important to hear from our nation’s strongest ally. I appreciate the candor of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech and firmly agree that we must stop ‘Iran’s march of conquest, subjugation and terror.’ He is equally correct in saying that the current nuclear deal with Iran does not block their path to a nuclear bomb. It paves the path to a bomb through worldwide legitimacy. In a dark and barbaric Middle East, the United States needs to stand firm, and be a beacon of hope to our friends in Israel.” ### |
