Weber Assigned Subcommittees for Foreign Affairs

This week, Chairman Ed Royce (CA-39) announced subcommittee assignments for the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Representative Randy Weber (TX-14) was placed on the Middle East, North Africa Subcommittee, as well as the Europe, Eurasia, and Emerging Threats Subcommittee.

“It is extremely important that America has a strong foreign policy throughout the world, especially as we continue the fight against terrorism in cooperation with our allies in Europe and the Middle East. With the Iran nuclear negotiations still underway, the continued slaughter of innocent lives by ISIL all over the Middle East and by the Assad Regime in Syria, the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee will remain busy ensuring this Administration proceed forward with the best policies for our nation.

The continued growth of anti-Semitism and rise of Islamic extremism throughout Europe, and the new-found need to for European nations to shift away from their reliance on Russian energy imports are all critical matters which will be addressed by the Europe, Eurasia and Emerging Threats Subcommittee. I look forward to ensuring that America is secure while remaining a reliable partner to our true allies. I thank Chairman Royce for these important assignments, and look forward to working on both committees.”
