Rep. Weber applauds the passage of Freedom for Health Care Workers Act

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) applauded the House passing H.R. 497, the Freedom for Health Care Workers Act, which would end the COVID-19 vaccine mandate on our frontline health care workers and prevents the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) from enacting any similar rules.

“Our health care workers were on the front lines during the worst times of the pandemic, and it is shameful that the Biden administration made the same front line workers choose between their job and a vaccine,” said Rep. Weber. “Joe Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate has only exacerbated our health care worker shortages and could cost patients’ lives instead of saving them. I am proud to join my Republican colleagues in passing this important bill to stop the attack on the personal freedoms of our frontline workers.”
