Rep. Weber appointed on Science, Space, and Technology Committee

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) issued the following statement announcing he will continue to serve on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee for the 118th Congress.

“It is an honor for me to serve on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology (SST), where I can continue working with my colleagues to strengthen NASA’s core exploration mission, ensure a competitive edge over China, strengthen critical industries of the future, preserve American leadership in space, and improve efficiency and accountability at the agencies under our jurisdiction,” said Rep. Weber. “I look forward to advancing nuclear research priorities and reforms that prioritize the use of limited research dollars. I am ready to get to work.”

“I’m so glad to welcome Rep. Weber back to the Science Committee, said Chairman Frank Lucas. "He’s done extensive work to help us pass major legislation supporting energy research and development. That experience will be invaluable as we work to make American energy cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable.”

SST has jurisdiction over NASA, the National Science Foundation, the National Weather Service, energy research and development programs at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency, and all environmental standards and research programs
