Rep. Weber votes to Defend Life

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Randy Weber voted in favor of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and a congressional resolution condemning the nationwide wave of violence, property damage, threats, trespassing, and intimidation against pro-life organizations by pro-abortion activists in the wake of the Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade. The Born-Alive Act ensures that infants born alive after an attempted abortion receive the same protection of law and degree of care as any newborn. Rep. Weber is a co-sponsor of both bills.

"I am proud of the strides our nation has taken to protect innocent lives, but there is still more to be done," said Rep. Weber. "Any child who survives the horrific procedure associated with abortion absolutely deserves full access to medical treatment and care. Period. And the mother, having already experienced so much, deserves the same. This child was endowed by our Creator with an unalienable right to Life. From the beginning, it's that simple, and once a child is born alive, the distinction is made even clearer. I am proud that this bill passed the House of Representatives."

"I was disheartened by the attacks on American pregnancy centers, pro-life and faith communities during the Dobbs era. House Republicans condemn these political attacks and support those protecting Life."
