Rep. Weber votes against Democrats' bloated spending spree

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) released the following statement after voting against the omnibus package that doubles down on the very failed Far Left agenda that the American people have already rejected, and rubber stamps the Democrats' agenda for years to come. "In the dead of night, a small handful of members behind closed doors negotiated a massive 4,000-page spending bill that will hamstring the American taxpayers with another $1.7 trillion of debt,” said Rep. Weber.“Lame Duck Democrats' bloated omnibus does NOT properly address our nation's historic border crisis, rein in wasteful government spending, unleash American energy dominance, or uphold government accountability. It does the complete opposite and puts more fuel to the fire of every single crisis under the Biden administration. Any Republican that voted for this omnibus voted for nine more months of the Biden agenda.” "Our nation is reeling from the effects of fiscal recklessness by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, and this is Washington's solution – more spending. Our grandchildren will be paying for the reckless liberal wish list. Clearly, a vote for this monstrosity was a slap in the face to every taxpayer. This is Washington at its worst."
