Texas Republican Delegation Unveils Border Security Plan for 118th Congress

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Weber (TX-14) and the Texas Republican delegation unveiled their border security plan—A Commitment to Secure the Border—for the 118th Congress.

“President Biden’s open-border policies have put women, children, families, law enforcement, and our national security at risk,” said Rep. Weber. “Texans are fed up. Americans are fed up. This crisis is impacting their lives each and every day. I am proud to stand united with my fellow Texans in Washington to roll out framework to secure the border.”

House Republicans have made a Commitment to America to secure the southern border as part of the new majority’s priority to create “a nation that’s safe.” The delegation’s agenda is a framework by Texans for Texas, and it includes four priority areas:

·     Complete physical border infrastructure

·     Fix border enforcement policies

·     Enforce our laws in the interior

·     Target cartels & criminal organizations

A Commitment to Secure the Border can be accessed here, along with legislation included in the plan.

Rep. Weber’s bill, H.R. 7528, The No Aid for Abetting Illegal Immigration Act, was included in the framework.
