Rep. Randy Weber issues Statement on 2022 State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON D.C. – Tuesday, March 01, 2022, President Joseph Biden addressed the nation in his first State of the Union address. Congressman Randy Weber (R-TX-14) released the following statement:

"Tonight’s State of the Union diluted the problems Americans are facing. One year, one party rule, one crisis after another – a crime crisis, a border crisis, an economic crisis, an education crisis, and an energy crisis, that has now led to a foreign policy crisis.

"Americans are not blind.  We see the effects of this Administration’s policies on our wallets, at the gas pumps, in our classrooms, and in our foreign policy - most notably Ukraine.  For President Biden to address the Nation and pretend the state of our union is strong, is not only disingenuous, it is insulting.

"Instead of taking responsibility and acknowledging the effects his shift to the far-left wing of his party has had on Americans, Biden doubled down on progressive policies and more reckless spending.  This Administration cannot keep embracing the far-left.  It is time to reach across the aisle, secure our borders, increase our energy production, listen to parents, actually support our police, and fix the numerous crises these progressive policies have created."
