Weber Issues Statement on Anniversary of Roe v. Wade
Washington, DC,
January 22, 2014
Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) issued the following statement on the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade: “Today marks 41-years of injustice, as we mourn the loss of more than 55 million lives lost to abortion following the Roe V. Wade decision. I cannot help but think that we are denying the most basic human right of life to our most fragile and precious gift - children. The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn a Texas law prohibiting abortion has robbed the most innocent of a chance to make a difference in this world. It is with a heavy heart that we remember the unborn. I will continue to fight and be a voice for those precious souls. Life begins at conception, not an arbitrary date set by lawmakers. Life is a gift to be respected, celebrated, and most importantly, lived.” |
