Weber Signs onto Letter Calling for HHS Secretary Sebelius to Resign
Washington, DC,
October 29, 2013
Last week, Congressman Randy Weber (R-Friendswood) signed onto a letter with 33 colleagues encouraging the President to call for the resignation of Health and Human Services Department Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius. Congressman Weber made the following statement: “President Obama and his Administration have had more than three years to prepare for the implementation of his takeover of healthcare. The healthcare.gov system has cost taxpayers upwards of $400 million, and yet users were met with glitches and system failures upon attempting to adhere to the forced October 1 deadline. It is now 28 days later, and many are still facing the same problems. If this were to happen in the private sector, someone would have been fired. It is past time that the President holds the responsible parties accountable for the system failures. Secretary Sebelius should resign.” ### You can find the letter here. |
