Dear Friend,

We're only a couple of months in, and The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has already made a tremendous positive impact for families, small businesses, and our economy! Since December, more than 350 different companies have announced bonuses and additional benefits for their employees as a result of this bill. Businesses both large and small are making these announcements, and more than 4.7 million Americans have felt the rewards of tax reform. Better yet, in each paycheck, you're now taking home more of your own hard-earned money. This is happening to Americans across the nation.

It's crazy to think that just over 6 months ago, Harvey made landfall. Last Friday, I had a gentleman come up to me and tell me that he and his wife were finally going to spend their first night back in their home since Harvey. Although their home still has a long way to go, it's their home once more.

Sincerely,

Randy K. Weber

There are still several Disaster Recovery Centers open in our area. Their locations may be found here:  weber.house.gov/constituent-services/harvey-resource.htm
Note the times and closing dates associated with the different DRCs.

Additionally, my staff and I are here as resources for YOU. If you need help with your specific FEMA case, do not hesitate to call one of our district offices. We are happy to help.

The Governor's Commission to Rebuild Texas launched a new page this week. The recovery tracker allows us to see where and how funds are being used. Follow along as we Rebuild Texas: www.rebuildtexas.today/recovery-tracker/

As we know all too well, Texas 14 is ground zero for Harvey’s destruction. The road to recovery is long, but let me tell you, the community support and unity has been unparalleled. YOU have set an example for our nation.

On Tuesday, Governor Abbott visited with the Texas Delegation. We talked extensively about Hurricane Harvey recovery and how together we can help rebuild our great state.

The Reverend Billy Graham
Reverend Billy Graham will forever be a giant in American history. He was America’s pastor, a household name, an adviser to presidents, and a friend to millions. His message was simple: “God loves you.” He spread the message of the gospel far and wide – traveling to 185 countries, touching millions of lives. Across our nation and around the world, stadiums filled when he rose to speak.

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Reverend Graham laid in honor in the Capitol Rotunda. This extraordinary honor has only been granted three other times in history - to Capitol Policemen Jacob Joseph Chestnut and John Michael Gibson who were killed in the line of duty, and to Rosa Parks for her role in the Civil Rights Movement.

The Reverend carried himself with dignity and joy, filled by the grace of God. May God grant eternal rest unto his soul. The Reverend Billy Graham has gone Home.
