After a few long days on the House floor, I’m proud to report: the One Big Beautiful Bill is heading to President Trump’s desk.

This bill is a massive win for the American people. It delivers the largest tax cuts for families in a generation, ending taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security benefits, because Uncle Sam has no business taxing what you’ve already earned.

It strengthens Medicaid for those who truly need it. It unleashes American energy to restore our global leadership. It secures the border and cracks down on the waste, fraud, and abuse that’s been draining your hard-earned tax dollars in Washington.

Now let’s be honest. With a razor-thin majority, no bill is perfect. Every Member could point to something they’d like to see changed, myself included. But make no mistake: this legislation is a major step forward in restoring power to the people, not the bureaucrats.

We’ve still got a lot of work to do to rein in Washington’s reckless spending. But this bill lays the foundation for real, lasting success by restoring prosperity, rebuilding strength, and reigniting American greatness.

Now, about those wild, fear-driven attacks from the Left, saying that Republicans are “stripping Medicaid” and “people will die”...

Folks, that’s not just false. It’s deranged. The truth is this: the One Big Beautiful Bill protects eligible Americans on federal welfare, including Medicaid. It refocuses resources on the people Medicaid was always intended to serve—pregnant women, children, people with disabilities, low-income seniors, and the most vulnerable in our communities.

Here’s what the Left won’t tell you. Over the past 10 years, the federal government admits that over half a TRILLION dollars in Medicaid payments have been improper. Just last year, taxpayers shelled out $56 billion in benefits to able-bodied adults gaming the system.

That’s why this bill includes commonsense work requirements for able-bodied adults receiving Medicaid. If you’re healthy and able, you need to be working, looking for work, or volunteering at least 20 hours a week. That’s not harsh. It’s fair. And it’s exactly how we preserve the safety net for the people who actually need it.

Now, let’s talk about the deficit. I hear the concerns, I understand them, and I share them.

According to the White House Council of Economic Advisers, this bill will drive GDP growth to 3 percent annually and could generate up to 4 trillion dollars in new revenue. That’s real money going back into our economy and back into the Treasury.

This is part of a broader, responsible plan to get our fiscal house in order. You don’t fix the deficit with just one bill. It takes a multi-pronged approach:

• 2.8 trillion dollars in new revenue from pro-American tariffs

• Historic savings from the One Big Beautiful Bill

• A rescissions package already on its way to the Senate

• Additional savings in the upcoming appropriations process

This isn’t just a bill. It’s a turning point. It’s us finally saying, enough is enough.
