A message to our Veterans

 
Vet Day

As we celebrate Veterans Day tomorrow, I want to thank the many men and women who have sacrificed so much for our nation. When y'all sent me to Washington, I promised that I would fight for our veterans, and I am honored to keep that promise and continue working to ensure you receive the care and services you deserve. You and your families have sacrificed so much in serving our country and defending our freedoms, and I thank you. 


My father was a member of the greatest generation. The man I admired most taught me the importance of loving our country. My dad served during World War II. His service took him to the battles of the Pacific. Everything I know about patriotism, honor, sacrifice, and freedom, I learned from him.


We remember that every year since 1919, our nation has recognized the sacrifice of our great Veteran. But it is important to not just honor veterans on this day. Rather, all 365 days, we should stop to show respect and gratitude for our brave military men and women.


I understand the necessity of ensuring that every American who served our great nation in our military received the crucial benefits and services they deserve. YOUR office – I never forget I work for you – can assist veterans with outstanding claims at the VA, help expedite benefits decisions, request records, bill payments, benefit adjustments, disability percentage increases, and much more. 


I have a great team of constituent advocates who are at your service to help you with any issues you face, from veterans' health care to VA benefits. Please reach out to YOUR district office. We have offices in League City, Beaumont, and Lake Jackson.

Biden Family Subpoenas

Under the leadership of Chairman James Comer, House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Republicans issued subpoenas to President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden; his brother James Biden; and Biden family associate, Rob Walker, to appear for depositions. 


For months, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved and benefited from his family’s corrupt influence-peddling schemes. 


This includes bank records showing that on March 1, 2018, Americore, a financially distressed rural hospital operator, wired a whooping $200,000 into James and Sara Biden’s personal bank account. On the very same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from the same personal bank account directly to Joe Biden. They also uncovered a bank records memorandum revealing how Joe Biden received $40,000 in laundered money from Communist China in the form of a personal check from the account of his brother, James Biden, and his sister-in-law, Sara Biden.

This week, I held a telephone town hall to talk with and answer questions from YOU. We are coming up on the end of the year, and a lot has happened in Congress. I am in D.C. fighting for each of you. Every time I place a vote, I think about each of you. We had a great discussion on the call. There were lots of good questions, and even more, I couldn’t get it. Team Weber stayed busy around the district this week. My beautiful bride, BrendaGail stepped in for me this week while I was in DC. She started the week off with Carnival Cruise Line to celebrate local veterans on board. She presented every single veteran at the event a challenge coin, and a certificate to Carnival for the unwavering support for our veterans. She also spoke at the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce Legislative Update meeting with other elected officials. Team Weber attended the City of Friendswood Veteran's Day Celebration and UTMB's Life Science Incubator Open House.
