As we enter this sacred season, I want to wish our Jewish friends a blessed and meaningful Passover.
To my fellow Christians, as we reflect on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, may we never forget the sacrifice our Savior made for each and every one of us.
Brenda Gail and I are praying for you and your families this Easter weekend, that it be filled with hope, joy, and renewal because Sunday is coming.
"When he had received the drink, Jesus said, 'it is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit." - John 19:30

Back in 2012, Golden Pass took on a big challenge, to help secure America’s role as the safety valve for our energy security. In 2019, they put that plan into motion with a final investment to build a world-class LNG export facility right here in TX-14.
This week, we’re seeing the payoff of years of hard work. Golden Pass LNG is now online and ready to go. Shipments are about to begin, sending Texas energy across the country and around the world.
Train 1 at the Sabine Pass terminal is up and running as part of a three-train facility capable of producing 18.1 million tons of LNG each year. That’s nearly 2 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Right here at home, the impact is real. Around 150 Texas businesses have already benefited, $245 million has been invested locally, and more than $31 million in wages have gone to hardworking Southeast Texans.
And the jobs tell the story better than anything. At the peak of construction, over 7,000 jobs were created, and more than 380 permanent jobs are coming online as operations ramp up. To top it off, this $10 billion project is expected to generate more than $34 billion for the greater U.S. economy!
I’m proud of the folks who made this happen. Projects like Golden Pass LNG are why I co-sponsored H.R. 1949, the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act. We ought to be making it easier, not harder, to build and move American energy. That’s how Texas leads and keeps this country running strong.

We have liftoff!
On April 1, 2026, America once again showed the world what leadership looks like. With Artemis II officially on its way, it marks the first crewed mission to the Moon in over 50 years.
And here’s what makes this even more special for us in Southeast Texas. Some of the astronauts on board proudly call TX-14 home, which means this mission truly hits close for our community. With Johnson Space Center right down the road, the very place that helped guide Apollo to the moon 57 years ago and directed the Artemis launch on Wednesday, Southeast Texas continues to sit at the heart of America’s space program!
Below is a breakdown on the Artemis Mission:
- Artemis I - Launched in 2022, Artemis I served as the first flight test for NASA’s Deep Space Exploration Systems and the Orion spacecraft.
- Artemis II - Launched on April 1, 2026, it is the first crewed flight using the Orion spacecraft to see what capabilities are necessary for deep space travel.
- Artemis III - Scheduled to launch in 2027 in order to initiate a crewed test for rendezvous and docking necessary for both the Orion spacecraft and commercial shuttles to send man back to the moon.
- Artemis IV - Scheduled to launch in early 2028 and conduct the first Artemis moon landing. This mission will include a transfer from the Orion spacecraft to a lunar lander to descend onto the moon’s surface and explore the lunar South Pole region.
- Artemis V - Scheduled for late 2028, this launch will use the standard space launch system (SLS) to land on the moon’s surface to maintain dominance with subsequent yearly missions.
Watching that rocket lift off, I couldn’t help but feel that same pride Americans felt during the Apollo era. It’s a reminder of what we can do when we lead. That’s why I'm focused on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee to make sure NASA has a clear path forward and the tools to succeed. The NASA Reauthorization of 2026 is ready for the House Floor, and I’m working to get it moving. In TX-14, this is about supporting local jobs, growing innovation, and giving our kids something bigger to dream about!

Heritage Action just released their scorecards for the 119th Congress, and I’ve always believed actions speak louder than words.
I’ve said from day one that conservative values guide everything I do in Washington, and I’m proud to have earned a 96% on the Heritage Action Scorecard. That’s not just a number, it’s a record of standing firm on the principles we believe in.
That score reflects key votes and co-sponsorships on issues that matter, like supporting the One Big Beautiful Bill, backing the SAVE America Act, and pushing back against reckless Washington spending, including those bloated COVID-era Obamacare subsidies.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about scorecards, it’s about you. It’s about making sure your hard-earned tax dollars go further right here in Texas’ 14th District. It’s about protecting our values, strengthening our communities, and standing up for faith, family, and country.
God bless America, God bless Texas, and God bless you and your families!

Team Weber is getting their hands dirty to keep TX-14 winning!
In the district, our team was honored to attend the Brazoria County Alliance for Children Pinwheel Ceremony honoring the over 517,053 victims of child abuse in Texas. As a father of three, I know what it means to do anything to protect your kids. I feel that same responsibility for families across TX-14. That’s why I’m working to strengthen protections by co-sponsoring the Reporting Accountability and Abuse Prevention Act of 2026, making sure we have clear, consistent reporting standards at the state and local level.
Team Weber also attended the Brazoria State of the County Luncheon where we learned about updates for the workings of the county and exciting things that are on the horizon for TX-14.
YOUR staff stopped by the Port Arthur Education Foundation “Pathway to Success Luncheon”, an annual event dedicated to empowering students, educators, and the community through building a network and the importance of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
