Merry Christmas! This is our last newsletter of 2025, and it’s been a year we won’t soon forget! Christmas is a special season here in Texas. It’s a time when front porches glow a little brighter, families gather a little closer, and we’re reminded of the greatest gift ever given: our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As Luke 2:11 tells us, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” That promise is the hope and joy at the heart of this season. My Beautiful Bride, Brenda Gail, and I cherish this time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and to give thanks for the faith, family, and freedom we’re blessed with. Across Texas’ 14th District, churches are filled, tables are set, and neighbors are looking out for one another, the Texas way. This Christmas, we’re especially grateful for our troops, our first responders, and everyone working through the holidays so the rest of us can be home with the people we love. From Brenda Gail and I, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year. May God bless you, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas

2025 Wrap Up

EOY

First and foremost, serving YOU is my top job. This year, my office helped resolve 1,020 constituent cases and returned $1,513,876.15 directly to folks who were owed money from the federal government. We sent 7,910 responses to constituents and showed up at 1,482 community events across the district!

As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, I spent this year fighting for Texas energy and the jobs that come with it. Just a couple of weeks ago, I hosted an Energy and Commerce tour right here in the district, bringing members from other states to see firsthand what our ports, our refineries, and the infrastructure do to keep this country running. Texas’ 14th helps power the whole nation, and it was important they see that up close and in person.

Thanks to the Trump administration’s renewed focus on American energy, that work paid off. The Department of Energy moved forward with a solicitation to purchase one million barrels of crude oil for delivery to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve at the Bryan Mound site, which is located in Brazoria County, strengthening our national energy security while supporting local jobs. On top of that, Texas 14th companies were awarded federal contracts, including Dyno Oil Electric LLC in Kemah and Callan Marine Limited in Galveston.

We also delivered where Texas has been ignored for far too long: the border. In the One Big Beautiful Bill, we secured border reimbursement funding, finally ensuring Texas isn’t left holding the bag for doing the federal government’s job. Texas stepped up when Washington failed, and now we’re getting reimbursed for it. That’s a win for Texas taxpayers, plain and simple.

On the legislative side, I introduced 15 bills, cosponsored 393 pieces of legislation, and kept a nearly 99% voting record on the House floor. Two of my bills passed out of committee this year:

  • The Next Generation Pipelines Research and Development Act
  • The Federal Mechanical Insulation Act

I was also proud to see language from my Bring the Space Shuttle Home Act included in the One Big Beautiful Bill, keeping America leading in space and innovation.

I’m also proud of the values we stood on this year. I earned an A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and a 100 score from Americans for Prosperity, because I believe in protecting life, keeping the government accountable, and letting Texans keep more of what they earn.

At the end of the day, every vote, every meeting, and every mile traveled this year was about one thing:

Delivering for Texas’ 14th.

My Beautiful Bride, Brenda Gail and I are looking forward to keeping this momentum going and continuing to fight for you in the year ahead.

The PACK Act of 2025

PACK Act

Americans want clear, honest information when they pick up a product and businesses deserve rules that actually make sense. Right now, a growing patchwork of state regulations has created confusion in the marketplace and made it harder for companies to operate across state lines.

That’s why I introduced the Packaging and Claims Knowledge (PACK) Act. This bill takes a voluntary, commonsense approach by establishing a national framework for environmental claims on packaging so terms like “recyclable” or “compostable” mean the same thing everywhere. No mandates. No new bureaucracy. Just clarity and consistency.

The PACK Act improves interstate commerce, protects consumers from misleading labels, and gives businesses, especially manufacturers, the certainty they need to compete and grow. It ensures environmental claims are grounded in real-world recycling and composting systems, not confusing symbols or vague marketing language.

This isn’t about picking winners and losers or letting one state dictate commerce for the rest of the country. This creates a fair, voluntary standard that strengthens American manufacturing, supports honest businesses, and gives consumers information they can trust.

While Congress was in session, Team Weber stayed busy across Texas’ 14th District, showing up and staying engaged with our local communities. Staff attended the Clear Lake Area Chamber Open House and the Mid-County Christmas Mixer, continuing our commitment to being present, accessible, and connected to the folks we serve.

At the same time, I was in Washington doing the work Texans sent me there to do. I participated in a House Energy and Commerce Oversight Subcommittee hearing examining biosecurity at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biology, as well as an Energy and Commerce Environment Subcommittee hearing on the EPA’s CERCLA designation for certain PFAS chemistries and the serious liability concerns it creates under Superfund law.

Have a merry CHRISTmas and a happy New Year!
