Happy Mother's Day This Mother’s Day, I want to take a moment to recognize all the incredible mothers across Texas’ 14th District who work tirelessly every day to love, support, and guide their families.   Mothers are truly the rocks of our homes and communities. Their strength and faith help shape the values that make Southeast Texas such a special place to live and raise a family.   I’m especially thankful for my own, now late, mother and for my beautiful bride, Brenda Gail, who has been an incredible mother to our children and a loving grandmother to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her servant’s heart and unwavering love have been a blessing to our family every step of the way.   This weekend, Brenda Gail and I are praying for all the wonderful moms across Texas.  We hope your Mother’s Day is filled with love, laughter, and quality time with the people who matter most.   Happy Mother’s Day, and God bless! Texas is Open for Business!

This week, Dell Technologies announced plans to relocate its legal incorporation from Delaware to Texas. While Dell has proudly operated out of Round Rock, Texas, since 1994, the company has remained legally incorporated in Delaware. Now, Dell is officially planting its flag in the Lone Star State!

Several other major companies have also made the move to Texas over the last couple of years, including Expand Energy, the nation’s largest natural gas producer.

This is exactly the kind of result President Trump promised when he took the oath of office a little over a year ago. Jobs are coming back to America, industries are expanding in Texas, manufacturing and production are booming, and the economy has now seen 17 consecutive months of growth.

The White House has also reported that companies across the country are bringing investments back home and choosing to build in America once again, including:

  • Apple announcing a massive $600 billion investment expected to create more than 20,000 new American jobs, including factory expansion right here in TX-14.
  • Nvidia pledging $500 billion to produce AI chips and infrastructure entirely in America, strengthening domestic supply chains, reducing dependence on foreign competitors, and helping America win the AI race.

This is wonderful news for the hardworking people of Texas’ 14th District and for America as a whole. From energy and chemical production projects like Golden Pass LNG to advanced technology manufacturing by Apple, the Texas Gulf Coast is ready and able to lead the way!

Texas Republicans United for Border Security

TX GOP

Congress has a responsibility to ensure states are never again left defenseless when the federal government refuses to secure the border. That is why I joined my colleagues in the Texas GOP Caucus to support H.Res. 50, a resolution affirming states’ constitutional authority to defend themselves when Washington fails to do its job.

For four long years under the Biden administration, Texans watched an unprecedented crisis unfold at our southern border. Nearly 15 million illegal aliens crossed into our country, with deadly fentanyl flooding our communities, cartel activity exploding, and violent criminals taking advantage of an administration that chose politics over public safety.

Texans were left to deal with the consequences.

Our law enforcement officers, border communities, ranchers, and families saw firsthand what happens when the federal government abandons its most basic constitutional responsibility: defending the homeland of the United States of America.

H.Res. 50 reaffirms constitutional protections already found in:

  • Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution, which requires the federal government to protect states from invasion.
  • Article I, Section 10, which recognizes the authority of states to defend themselves when facing imminent danger.

Under President Trump’s leadership, we are finally seeing what happens when America once again takes border security seriously.

  • Illegal border crossings have fallen to historic lows.
  • Cartels are being aggressively targeted.
  • Border enforcement is being restored.
  • Law and order is making a comeback at the southern border

But as a Texan, I also know that we cannot allow another future Democrat administration to drag this country back into the lawlessness and open-border chaos we witnessed.

Texans defended our communities, supported law enforcement, and fought to keep our families safe. H.Res. 50 ensures states like Texas are never again told they must simply stand by while their citizens suffer the consequences of federal failure.

I will always stand with Texas, support our law enforcement officers and Border Patrol agents, and fight to secure the border of the greatest Nation on Earth.

God bless Texas, and God bless the United States of America!

Yoda said, “Do or do not, there is no try.” Team Weber is DOing the work for Texas’ 14th District this May!

Team Weber was in Orange County for the Economic Resource Luncheon, where we heard about the exciting growth and opportunities coming to our community. From strong small business initiatives to new economic development efforts, it is clear that Texas’ 14th District is bigger and better than ever.

I will always stand with our small businesses and local leaders who are the backbone of our communities. As a former business owner myself, I understand the hard work, long hours, and risk it takes to build something from the ground up. During National Small Business Week, we were proud to recognize the outstanding businesses that call Southeast Texas and the Gulf Coast home.

We wrapped up the week focused on faith, coming together in Friendswood for the National Day of Prayer. We were reminded that God is still at work and that faith in Him strengthens our communities and our Nation.

YOUR office is not here to “try.” We are here to deliver results that strengthen OUR local economies and ensure Texas’ 14th District remains a place where small businesses grow and families thrive!
