Energy Crisis

On Tuesday, President Biden told Americans that they were “paying their fair share for gas.”

Americans are paying 55% more nationally for a gallon of gas, the most since the Obama -Biden administration, and have been warned that their home heating bills could jump as much as 54% compared to last winter.

Numbers don’t lie, and they tell us that America is facing an energy crisis, which has been caused by Biden and House Democrats’ anti-energy agenda.

BIDEN’S ENERGY CRISIS BY THE NUMBERS:

  • The national average for a gallon of gas reached $3.34 on Tuesday.
    • Americans are paying 55% more nationally for a gallon of gas.
    • This is the most Americans have paid at the pump since the Obama-Biden Administration.
  • Home heating costs are projected to rise by as much as 54% for some American households this winter.
  • President Biden and House Democrats are now pushing a "Heat Your Home" tax just in time for the winter.
    • The tax authorizes the EPA to assess a $1,500 tax per ton of methane emissions on energy producers, processors, transmission, storage, import/export, and pipelines.
  • President Biden’s anti-energy agenda have created this energy crisis:
    • On Joe Biden's first day in office, he killed over 11,000 American jobs, which were created by the Keystone Pipeline.
    • One of President Biden's first executive orders was to pause new oil and gas leasing on U.S. lands and waters.
      • This order will cost approximately one million Americans jobs in the near term.
      • It will also decrease U.S. Gross Domestic Product by $700 billion.
  • Instead of making it easier for American companies to increase domestic oil and gas production and hire more U.S. workers, Biden has begged OPEC and Russia to increase global output to ease rising prices.
  • In an unprecedented move, President Biden announced that the Department of Energy would release 50 million barrels of oil held in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
    • The SPR is designed to alleviate supply disruptions that come from emergencies, war, and weather events. NOT for political purposes.

Russia and Ukraine

President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a virtual meeting on Tuesday amid concerns about Russia invading Ukraine.

Americans should NOT expect President Biden to stand up to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Biden's failed record when it comes to Russia proves as much. The White House has privately admitted as much when they acknowledged their own “missteps”.

PRESIDENT BIDEN IS TOO WEAK TO STAND UP TO PUTIN:

  • President Biden already handed Putin a MAJOR VICTORY when he extended the New START treaty with no pre-conditions despite Putin's breakneck modernization of Russia's nuclear arsenal.
    • Putin's No. 1 request of the United States was a full five-year extension with no strings attached. Agreeing to that surrendered U.S. leverage to fix structural flaws in the treaty.
  • President Biden is incapable of standing up to Putin and instead is building a pipeline for him while destroying American energy jobs.
    • The Biden administration waived sanctions on the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline into Germany in May, days before announcing his summit with Putin.
    • The Keystone XL oil pipeline project developer announced that they were abandoning the project, which would have created thousands of high-paying American jobs following President Biden's decision to revoke a key permit for the pipeline.
  • In June, President Biden shared a list of critical infrastructure which he reportedly told Putin should be "off-limits" from Russian-backed cyberattacks.
    • Just THREE weeks after this meeting with Putin REvil, a group of Russian-speaking hackers believed to operate inside that country conducted the largest ransomware attack in HISTORY which targeted hundreds of American companies on
    • ALL of America should be off-limits from Russian-backed cyberattacks.

MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT: Biden already surrendered to Putin when he lifted the U.S. sanctions against Russia, which were working and granted Putin the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline into Germany. Because of Biden's weakness, Russia is threatening to invade Ukraine any day.

Our adversaries in Beijing and Tehran watched President Biden's meeting with Putin closely, and Biden showed our adversaries nothing but weakness.

This Week's Poll Question

Friends,

The clock is ticking for Congress to take action and make sure law enforcement has the tools they need to keep extremely lethal and dangerous drugs off our streets.

The emergency class-wide scheduling order for fentanyl-related substances is set to expire on February 18, 2022. There are deadly consequences if Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats allow this order to expire.

  • Fentanyl and fentanyl-related substances are responsible for record high overdose deaths in America.
  • If this scheduling order expires, many fentanyl-related substances will become street legal.
  • Law enforcement will lose the authority to seize these extremely lethal drugs. Drug traffickers will be empowered to push deadlier and deadlier drugs on our streets, skirting federal law by changing as little as a molecule in the fentanyl formula to create legal variations.
  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection will lose the authority to seize these substances crossing the border.

But I want to hear from you!

How concerned are you about the rise in fentanyl crossing our southern border?
