Biden Impeachment Inquiry

biden

This week, House Republicans opened a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden. This phase of an impeachment inquiry provides an opportunity for the House to formally outline the scope of its investigation and further provides notice to the accused and transparency to the public. The committees of jurisdiction are:

  • The Committee on Oversight and Accountability, chaired by Rep. James Comer (KY-01)
  • The Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-04)
  • The Committee on Ways and Means, chaired by Rep. Jason Smith (MO-08)

FACTS ABOUT HOUSE REPUBLICANS' INVESTIGATIONS INTO JOE BIDEN:

  • House Republicans are uncovering more and more credible evidence of corruption by President Joe Biden through a slew of Committee hearings, witness testimony, document production, and rigorous oversight.
  • House Republicans have uncovered that Joe Biden repeatedly lied to the American public about his own knowledge and involvement with his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings.
  • House Republicans have uncovered that when Joe Biden was Vice President, he joined dozens of Hunter Biden’s business meetings by phone and in person.
  • In August, House Oversight Republicans released detailed banking records showing how the Biden family and their business associates received $20 million in payments from foreign actors in places like Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan, including payments during Joe Biden’s time as Vice President.
  • The Treasury Department has more than 150 transactions involving the Biden family and other business associates that were flagged as “suspicious activity” by U.S. banks.
  • We have information from a “highly credible” FBI source that alleges Joe Biden received $5 million in exchange for pressuring the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating a Ukrainian natural gas firm that Hunter Biden was on the board of.
    • In 2018, Joe Biden bragged about withholding aid to Ukraine when he was Vice President until this Ukrainian prosecutor was fired.
    • Then-Vice President Biden used his official office to coordinate with his son Hunter Biden’s business partners about Hunter’s role at the Ukrainian energy firm Burisma.
  • It appears the President’s family has been offered special treatment by Biden’s own administration; treatment he would not otherwise have received if he were not related to the President.

The American people deserve to know that public offices are not for sale – and that the federal government is not being used to cover up the actions of a politically-associated family.

Protecting Americans’ Freedom to Choose Their Own Car

Evs

In August of 2022, California’s Air Resources Board (CARB) voted to place restrictions on automakers that would essentially ban the sale of new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by 2035 – restrictions that 17 other states, such as Virginia, are set to adopt, making up 40 percent of the United States’ new car sales.

Once again, American families would bear the brunt of these policies, potentially being forced to spend more money on an expensive electric vehicle and left at the mercy of their states' power grids – some of which, including California's, have already proven to be unreliable.

It is critical we maintain competition in the automotive markets and ensure families have access to reliable and affordable vehicles by preventing California’s regulations from taking effect and preserving consumer choice.

This week, the House passed the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act. It will amend the Clean Air Act and block Biden’s EPA from issuing waivers for regulations that ban the sale or use of new motor vehicles with internal combustion engines. This bill will cement the right to choose what car to drive! And as for me, I’m choosing my good old-fashioned diesel American-made truck.
