I am honored to represent many men and women who have sacrificed so much for our nation. When y’all sent me to Washington, I promised that I would fight for our veterans, and I am honored to keep that promise and continue working to ensure you receive the care and services you deserve. You and your families have sacrificed so much in serving our country and defending our freedoms, and I thank you.
For me, this day carries a personal meaning. My father, a member of what we call the greatest generation, served our nation in World War II. He fought in the battles of the Pacific, and he taught me what patriotism, honor, and sacrifice truly mean. I owe everything I know about love of country to him.
Since 1919, our nation has paused each year to recognize and remember the sacrifices of our veterans. But honoring them shouldn't just be a one-day affair. Every day, we should take a moment to reflect on their courage, commitment, and sacrifice. This monument, and others like it, serve as reminders of the freedoms and liberties that are far from free—freedoms that our veterans have defended through blood, sweat, and sacrifice.
Our military is the finest force in the world. The Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines have stood guard over our nation since its founding, with each generation passing the torch to the next. And as President Ronald Reagan reminded us, ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.’
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for everything you have done for our country, for our communities, and for our freedom. We remain the land of the free because of the brave, and because of you.
I understand the necessity of ensuring that every American who served our great country in our military receives the crucial benefits and services they deserve.
YOUR office stands ready to assist our veterans in several ways. First and foremost, we provide hands-on help with accessing VA benefits. We know that applying for and managing these benefits—whether it’s healthcare, disability compensation, or education under the GI Bill—can be challenging. Our team is here to make that process smoother, working closely with the VA to resolve issues and keep claims moving.
We also help veterans retrieve military records, including the DD214 form. These documents are often needed to access benefits, secure employment, or even apply for VA healthcare. If a veteran in our community needs help retrieving these records, our office is just a phone call away to assist.
Accessing healthcare is also a major priority for me. We know how important quality healthcare is, and our team can help veterans connect with VA healthcare facilities, schedule appointments, and even locate specialized care as needed. Our goal is to make sure veterans have access to the medical services they deserve without unnecessary hurdles.
Please reach out to YOUR office! I never forget I was elected to serve you. I vow to fight for your needs and to make sure you receive the quality care and service you deserve.
Thank you for your service to our country.
