Happy 250th Birthday America! Click above to watch! Happy 250th Birthday, America! For 250 years, the United States has stood as the greatest nation the world has ever known. Our country was founded on faith, freedom, and the belief that every American has the opportunity to pursue their God-given potential. That promise has only endured because generation after generation answered the call to defend it. My father was part of the Greatest Generation. Like millions of Americans who served during World War II, he put on the uniform to defend freedom and defeat tyranny. He never asked for recognition. He simply believed America was worth fighting for. His generation, those who came before, and those who followed, all made sacrifices to leave us the greatest gift imaginable: a free nation. As a lifelong Texan who's spent my entire life on the Gulf Coast, I've seen that same spirit live on in the veterans, service members, first responders, and the hardworking families of Texas' 14th District. They remind me every day that the American Dream is worth protecting. As we celebrate 250 years of freedom, let's remember just a few (of the many!) of the moments that define the American story: 1776: Our Founding Fathers declared independence and established the greatest experiment in self-government the world has ever seen.1865: America emerged from the Civil War more united, proving our Union would endure.1944: American heroes stormed the beaches of Normandy.1969: The Stars and Stripes flew on the Moon as America achieved what the world thought was impossible.1989: The Berlin Wall fell, and freedom defeated communism.2001: In the face of terrorism, Americans stood together with courage, faith, and an unbreakable spirit. May we never take our freedom for granted, may we always honor those who have worn the uniform, and may God continue to bless the greatest nation on Earth. Have a safe and blessed Independence Day, y’all!

As we celebrate 250 years of freedom, let's remember just a few (of the many!) of the moments that define the American story:

  • 1776: Our Founding Fathers declared independence and established the greatest experiment in self-government the world has ever seen.
  • 1865: America emerged from the Civil War more united, proving our Union would endure.
  • 1944: American heroes stormed the beaches of Normandy.
  • 1969: The Stars and Stripes flew on the Moon as America achieved what the world thought was impossible.
  • 1989: The Berlin Wall fell, and freedom defeated communism.
  • 2001: In the face of terrorism, Americans stood together with courage, faith, and an unbreakable spirit.

May we never take our freedom for granted, may we always honor those who have worn the uniform, and may God continue to bless the greatest nation on Earth.

Have a safe and blessed Independence Day, y’all!

535 Congress Interview

On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to sit down with 535 News to discuss the future of the Texas Gulf Coast and why Texas' 14th Congressional District remains the beating heart of American energy production.

Our district produces nearly 65% of the nation's jet fuel, 80% of our military-grade fuel, and is home to 60% of America's Strategic Petroleum Reserve. That means Texas' 14th District helps power our nation every single day. I made it clear that when it comes to American energy dominance, national security, and economic strength, you don't have to look any further than the Texas Gulf Coast.

During the interview, I highlighted the critical work we're doing in Congress to unleash American energy and cut through the red tape that has slowed investment and innovation for far too long. As Vice Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, I have fought to streamline permitting, strengthen our energy infrastructure, and ensure America has the reliable, affordable, and abundant energy needed to power the future.

I also had the opportunity to highlight the exciting new shipbuilding investments coming to Galveston and Port Arthur. Thanks to Davie Defense, Texas' 14th District will play a leading role in rebuilding America's maritime strength by constructing the next generation of Arctic Security Cutters. This historic investment will strengthen our national security, help us compete with adversaries like China and Russia, create thousands of good-paying jobs on the Gulf Coast, and ensure Southeast Texas remains at the forefront of America's shipbuilding renaissance.

I often say that energy dominance is national security, and nowhere is that more evident than on the Texas Gulf Coast. Whether we're fueling our military, powering our economy, strengthening our supply chains, or building the next generation of American vessels, the hardworking men and women of Texas' 14th District are leading the charge. We must continue unleashing American energy, rebuilding our shipyards, and investing in the industries that keep America strong, secure, and prepared to meet any challenge.

That's how we'll preserve America's leadership, protect our freedoms, and ensure the greatest nation on Earth remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations to come.

P.S. Be sure to watch until the end for some fun questions!

Protecting Texans From Disaster

Flood Siren

July 4, 2025.

While July 4th marks a celebration for our nation, in Texas it also marks the first year since the devastating floods that swept through the Texas Hill Country and claimed the lives of 28 precious young souls. It is a heartbreaking reminder that even on the eve of celebrating our nation's freedom, tragedy can strike without warning.

These floods affected far more than one community. They touched hearts across every corner of Texas and reminded us all how quickly neighbors come together in times of unimaginable loss.

In the rubble of this tragedy, I was honored to join my fellow members of the Texas delegation in supporting a bipartisan resolution to honor the lives we lost, recognize the courage of our first responders, and thank the countless men and women who stepped up to help families and communities begin the long road to recovery. Please continue to keep everyone impacted in your prayers.

In the year since these devastating floods, the Texas Legislature has taken meaningful steps to strengthen our state's flood preparedness by investing in expanded flood-warning systems. Today, new flood-warning sirens are being installed across vulnerable communities. While no system can prevent every tragedy, these investments will help provide families with earlier warnings when dangerous floodwaters threaten lives and property.

Here on the Gulf Coast, the people of Texas' 14th District understand the importance of preparation better than most. From Brazoria and Galveston Counties to Jefferson and Orange Counties, we have endured hurricanes, floods, and severe storms that have tested our communities time and time again. We know firsthand that being prepared can save lives.

That is why we must continue investing in the infrastructure, emergency communication systems, and preparedness measures that help keep Texans safe. Here in Congress, I was proud to support the bipartisan NOAA Weather Radio Modernization Act as it advanced through the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. This legislation will strengthen our nation's weather warning capabilities and help ensure families receive lifesaving alerts when every second counts.

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." - Psalm 121

Team Weber is gearing up to work for red, white, and YOU! As we prepare to celebrate America's 250th birthday, we didn't slow down for a second.

We started the week in Port Neches, TX, at the Hebert Public Library Read, White, and Blue Bash that celebrated not only a great community of Southeast Texas, but the 250th birthday of our great nation. The community came together over a shared love of books, America, food, and fun.

Team Weber also visited the opening of “The Spirit of the Golden Triangle” at the Museum of the Gulf Coast in Port Arthur, TX. The exhibit showcases the rich history of Southeast Texas and highlights the hardworking men and women in the energy, maritime, and industrial sectors who helped build this region into an economic powerhouse.

Folks, the strength of Texas' 14th District comes from its people. As we celebrate 250 years of American freedom, Team Weber remains committed to serving our communities, defending our values of faith, family, and freedom.
