Committees and Caucuses
Congressman Weber is a member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, where he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee. The Science, Space, and Technology Committee has jurisdiction over NASA, the National Science Foundation, the National Weather Service, energy research and development programs at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency, and all environmental standards and research programs. In addition to his responsibilities as Vice Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee, he is also a member of the Subcommittee on the Environment.
Congressman Weber is also a member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, where he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations. The Foreign Affairs Committee has jurisdiction over all public diplomacy efforts, foreign assistance, war powers and treaties, arms control and disarmament, international sanctions, peacekeeping operations, export controls, international broadcasting, international drug and human trafficking issues, and international organizations like the United Nations. Congressman Weber also serves on the Subcommittee on the Middle East and North Africa.
